Get to know me!

Hi! My name is Katie, I am a licensed cosmetologist based in Lynchburg, and owner of The Urban Magnolia.

I am from Evington, Va and graduated from Brookville High School. After high school, I continued my education through an apprenticeship program.

I have always dreamed of owning my own salon, and this gives me the opportunity to grow in the beauty industry. When coming up with the name “The Urban Magnolia” it was something that was deeply thought about. Magnolias have been my favorite flower since I was a little girl and make up most of my sleeve on my arm- it seemed only fitting.

I specialize in blonding, lived in color and extensions, but offer a variety of services including corrective color! I love creating everyone’s dream hair, and giving my clients a safe place to come and relax and let loose. My goal as a stylist is to make every client feel beautiful, understood and appreciated.
